Our Mission Statement
We, the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Kinderhook, though diverse in background, culture, age, gender, and race, are one in love and commitment to God.
As the body of Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, our purpose is to embrace truth as it is in Jesus, and provide a spiritually vibrant experience enriched by meaningful worship, spiritual growth, and earnest service.
It is our desire to develop a fulfilling and everlasting relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer and the study of the Holy Scriptures, and to proclaim the good news of His love, forgiveness, and soon return.
Because of what Christ has done for us, we are on an amazing journey that will take us home to God, our Father and Creator.
We love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
A Worldwide Church Family

Our House of Worship
This house of worship was built to be energy efficient.
An important step towards making the most of the resources given to us by God is building a place of worship that requires the least amount of money to maintain. This allows us to use most donations to address the needs of the congregation and of the community,
not on utility bills.
For that reason, we chose to build our house of worship according to “Passive House” guidelines.

Our Beliefs
As a Christian church, Seventh-day Adventists are a faith community rooted in the beliefs described by the Holy Bible. Adventists describe these beliefs in the following ways:

God Loves You
God’s love is all about you. He loves you deeply no matter what you’ve done or have been through.
God made it possible for you to be born and to live until now. He wants you to have the highest quality of life imaginable, not a second-rate existence somewhere on earth.
He also wants to spend time with you personally, one on one, and get to know you as a close friend.

God Speaks To You
God speaks to us in many ways. One of the main ways he speaks His love personally to us is through the Bible.
He has a very special plan for your life. Through the Bible, God gives us direction; like a detailed road map.
“I know the plans that I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

God Wants A Personal Relationship With You
God sees and understands you. And He loves you just the way you are. Not only does He speak to you, but He would also love to hear from you.
Through prayer you can open your heart to Him as you would to a best friend. As your relationship grows, so will your awe of Him and your quality of life will improve.
